This is the first work of "Forever Lucky", a solo project of Affee Takahashi, a drummer manipulator of the band "TAMTAM" based in Tokyo.
He created all the songs to the sampled material chopped up in Ableton Live by adding drum sounds. In this work, he did all the recording, mixing, mastering, and even the illustration of the jacket. Kuro, also a member of TAMTAM, participates in the song "20210812" (M1) as a guest vocalist.
This work was created with the image of "a beat tape suitable for listening on a cassette". Not to mention the beat-based tune, he is particular about making lo-fi sounds that go well with cassettes. Surprisingly, almost all the drums are recorded with the Macbook's built-in microphone.

His musicality is located at the intersection of electronic and raw sounds. It can be said it’s the influence of many artists he had been listening to as an enthusiastic listener, such legends like Yesterday's New Quintet and The Roots (especially in "Dila Joint") and recent jazz such as Makaya McCraven and Kassa Overall.

　東京を中心に活動するフィール・グッドなバンドTAMTAMのドラマー/マニュピュレーター、高橋アフィのソロ・プロジェクト「Forever Lucky」による第1作。
サンプリング素材をAbleton Liveで切り刻み、さらに多数のエフェクターを通し加工することで異なるものとなった音を元にトラックを作成、最後に自身で演奏するドラムを加えることで完成させた本作は、演奏や録音からミックス/マスタリング、そしてジャケットのイラストまで全て自身によるもの。またフィーチャリングとして1曲目「20210812」にTAMTAMのボーカルKuroが参加している。
　「カセットで聴くビートテープ」をイメージし制作された本作は、ビート主体の曲調はもちろんのこと、カセットらしいローファイな音作りは特にこだわっており、ドラムはほぼすべてMacbookの内臓マイクで録音されている。またトラックと生演奏が混ざり合う音楽性は、リスナーとしてYesterdays New QuintetやThe Roots『Dilla Joints』、また近年のジャズではMakaya McCravenやKassa Overallなどを愛聴してきた音楽歴が反映された作品とも言えるだろう。
